I'm hoping they succeed, because we all know Adobe could use some competition. I'm not familiar with PagePlus, but I know the company Serif, and they are trying like hell to break into the market and beat Adobe at its own game. That alone is worth the price of admission. It's also industry standard, which means that vendors won't have issues with your files when it comes time to send them for printing. $50 a month gets you the entire Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, etc.) plus a bunch of other benefits. Adobe's subscription fees, while prohibitive for the hobbyist, are still pretty reasonable for a small shop and you can write it off as a business expense.
